Technical Director, Nature Finance
Grant is a pioneer in the field of nature-related finance with 12+ years’ experience in finance and sustainability . At The Biodiversity Consultancy he leads the work supporting banks, investment managers and insurers to integrate nature into their operations, products, services and financial decision making.
Prior to joining TBC, he developed first-in-market approaches to nature-related financial risks, opportunities and engagement strategies with financial institutions at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, leading the Institute’s nature finance workstreams and the Banking Environment Initiative. He has also contributed to the outputs of TNFD, WEF, NGFS and OECD in the field of nature-related finance, enabling the financial community to better understand and measure nature-related impacts and dependencies.
Grant began his career at Chatham House, followed by financial analyst roles covering the energy sector and leadership roles in corporate finance and transfer pricing. He has taught sustainable finance at the University of Cambridge and political economy at King’s College London.
